  • Passport:

    You will have to send us a valid passport for applying for your Tibet travel permit. But this passport should be the one you are getting a Chinese Visa on.

  • Visa:

    You will have to send your Chinese visa and passport to us to apply for a Tibet travel permit. With any valid Chinese Visa, you can come to Tibet. There are many different kinds of Chinese Visa for different purposes. Hence following are the details.

    Visa L: The most common visa traveller would travel to Tibet is the Chinese Visa L., which is meant for tourists.

    Chinese Group Visa: If you are coming to Tibet from Nepal. It is mandatory to get a Chinese Group Visa from the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu. So all the valid pre-existing Chinese visas will be cancelled. You can learn more about the Chinese Group Visa here.

    Other Visa: If you have any additional visas like student visas, business visas, etc. You will need to submit a valid addition letter from your host in China for these categories of visas. For example, if you are a student, you have to offer either your student ID card or a letter from your institution. If you are coming to China to visit your family member, you will have to submit a message for that person along with their ID card. For a business visa, you will have to send a letter from your host company in China on their official letterhead and official stamp.

  • Tour Deposit:

    When you apply for the Tibet permit, we will have to submit your deposit receipt from our bank. For this, you will have to send us a tour deposit to our official bank account. The deposit usually is about 30% of the total tour price.
