You can visit Tibet at any time of the year. Yet some months are better than others based on the activity you want to do. So the best time to travel to Tibet depends on your goals in travelling to Tibet.
- Suppose you want to visit Tibet during the excellent weather and a clear view of the Landscape. We wish to recommend you to see from April to June, September to early November.
- If you want to explore Tibetan culture and travel to Tibet without much of a tourist, we recommend visiting Tibet in the Wintertime.
- We would strongly recommend you skip visiting Tibet during the Chinese National Holidays, especially during the May Labor day holiday and National day holiday during the first week of October. This is because there will be lots of domestic tourists during those holidays.
- You can also visit Tibet for special festival tours like the Saga Dawa tour to Mount Kailash and our other special tours.
- Suppose you would like to visit Everest. You will have the most unobstructed view of the Mount in January, February, April, May, October, November, and December.
- Suppose you would like to travel to Mount Kailash. So the best time is from early May, June, September and the First half of October.
- Suppose you would like to experience and see the Tibetan Nomad on the Grassland. The best time to travel to Tibet is from June to September.
- Suppose you would like to experience and see the Tibetan Farmers in their field. The best time is from April (Planting), September and early October (Harvesting).
- Suppose you are visiting Tibet for trekking. Therefore the Best time is in early May to late June and early September to late October.
