There are three primary documents need for visiting Tibet, when you are travelling to Tibet

Following are the three document need for visiting Tibet:

  • Valid Passport
    You will need a valid passport enough for your return journey back to your home country.
  • Chinese Visa
    Generally, most travellers would come to Tibet with L category visa, which is a tourist Visa. Besides this, if you happen to have a visa in other categories, you will need an additional letter from your host in China.
    If you are coming to Tibet from Nepal, You will have to get a Chinese Group Visa from the Chinese Embassy in Nepal. Read more about it here.
  • Tibet travel permit
    Tibet travel permit is some times called a Tibet entry permit or Tibet Visa. You will need it when you enter into Tibet. The Tibet Tourism Bureau issues it in Lhasa. We will make it for you in Lhasa after booking the tour with us. For this, you will have to send us the above two documents.
