You can apply for a Chinese visa from all the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in your home country. Please get in touch with them in advance to know what are documents required for applying for it.
Usually, to apply for a Chinese Visa, Embassy would require your flight information, tour itinerary. If you mention your plan to visit Tibet, they need an extra invitation letter from the Tibet tourism bureau. Or they might say you will need to produce your Tibet travel permit. But in reality, they only need a visa invitation.
Many travel websites do advise people visiting Tibet, not to mention your plan to visit Tibet. But I Tibet Travel & Tours strongly recommend to apply it with saying about your travel plan to Tibet. We can help you send the Chinese Visa Invitation from the Tibet Tourism Bureau office in Lhasa.
But for this, you will need to apply for a Chinese visa at the Chinese Embassy, not the consulate, to apply with it. This is because the Visa invitation will only address to Embassy, not to the consulate. So we hope you will choose whichever is more convenient for you.
The Visa invitation can only be applied during the second half of the Permit process. Therefore you will have to book the tour with us and send us the Passport copies to start making the permit. Please remember, We can never complete the permit without a copy of the visa. So you will have to send it to us as soon as you get it.
