Following are symptoms of high altitude sickness, categories into two; mild and severe
In most case, symptoms are mild. Followings are the symptoms of mild to moderately high altitude sickness.
- Dizziness or light-headedness
 - Fatigue
 - headache
 - Difficulty in Sleeping
 - loss of appetite
 - Rapid pulse
 - shortness of breath with exertion
 
The following are the symptoms that may occur with more severe mountain sickness
- The blue colour of skin
 - chest tightness or congestion
 - confusion
 - cough or coughing up blood
 - Decrease in consciousness or withdrawal from social interaction
 - Gray or pale complexion
 - Can not walk in a straight line
 - line or walk at all
 - shortness of breath at rest
